Principle of working of Splitter

Basic principle, on which the Rock Splitter work is “Wedge Principle”, wherein the Force on the Rock is applied from within as against other conventional methods where the force is applied externally. Rock and Concrete have lower Tensile Strength, which makes it much easier to demolish the Rock, which underlies the efficiency of the Splitter. A hole of requisite Diameter and Depth is drilled on the Rock/concrete and the Wedge set is inserted into the hole in retracted position. Hydraulic Pressure applied to the Center Wedge forces the Counter Wedges against the wall of the hole with a force of over 400 Tons, Which causes the material to split and also thin reinforcements in the concrete.
